Sharing Hearts, Building Bones: Building Relationships

An online learning opportunity via Zoom is being offered by Indigenous Spirit Fund and Native Child and Family Services of Toronto. You are invited to participate in Sharing, Hearts, Building Bones:. Building Relations between Indigenous Children, Youth and Families and Canada’s philanthropic sector. This is a powerful new workshop designed to engage Canadians (philanthropists, foundations, corporations and community members) interested in learning about and building new relationships with Toronto’s Indigenous children and families and the organizations that work with them to increase community health and well-being.

A circle conversation, led Kenn Richard, Founder of Native Child and Family Services of Toronto and Director of the Indigenous Spirit Fund, will share insights from Kenn’s years of service on behalf of Indigenous children and youth and issues including legacies of residential schools, the Sixties Scoop and overrepresentation in child welfare. Culture and holistic approaches play an important role in healing in family and community well-being for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
