A Holiday Message of Gratitude to Our Supporters and Volunteers

As we enter the holiday season, we want to pause and extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supports HIP (Honouring Indigenous Peoples)

Because of you—our volunteers, supporters, partners, and community members—HIP continues to grow as a national movement grounded in relationship, respect, and youth leadership. Over the past year, your generosity of time, funds and belief in our mission has helped strengthen our presence in communities across Canada and sustain a national youth program that is now preparing for its fourth National Youth Gathering.

One of the most inspiring developments has been seeing the youth alumni of our program step forward as leaders in their own right. This spring, they will launch their first independent initiative, Walk with the Earth, taking place on April 18th. This moment represents the very heart of our work—young people empowered to act, to lead, and to care for their communities and the land.

HIP is also gaining attention beyond Canada, with a growing global community recognizing the leadership and example being set through our programs. As we look ahead to new opportunities, including plans to expand internationally, we remain deeply mindful that none of this would be possible without the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our supporters.

Thank you for walking alongside us. Your support is making a real and lasting difference in the lives of young people and in the work of reconciliation.

From all of us at HIP, we wish you and your loved ones a warm, restful, and joyful holiday season. We look forward to continuing this journey together in the year ahead.
