HIP (Honouring Indigenous Peoples) announces a significant leadership transition as Chris Snyder steps down as chair after a decade of dedicated service. Under Snyder’s leadership, HIP has grown into a dynamic organization, building a strong board and expanding its impact. In recognition of his invaluable contributions, the board of directors has unanimously appointed him as ‘Chairperson Emeritus’.
HIP’s board of directors has appointed Jim Louttit as the new chair. Louttit brings extensive experience and expertise to the role, poised to continue driving HIP’s mission forward. His leadership will play a crucial role in strengthening HIP’s initiatives and expanding its reach.
Louttit is president of JVL Global Corp, specializing in community development and microfinance. Before founding his consulting company in 2012, he spent seven years in executive roles in Central and South America with the Bank of Nova Scotia.
