Nineteen districts. One fire,
kept burning by people who
show up.
one Rotarian who raised a hand, at a time. twelve years running, that hasn’t changed.

You already believe in what we do.
Service Above Self. Fellowship. The Four-Way Test. Those aren’t slogans you keep on a banner at the back of the room – they’re how Rotarians decide what to do on a Tuesday. And they happen to be, almost word for word, the foundation HIP was built on.
Here’s the thing about the Youth-to-Youth Experience: it doesn’t look like a typical charity program. It looks like a Rotary project. It’s what happens when a room full of people decide that talking about reconciliation isn’t enough – and that the better move is to bring young people together and let a week around the fire do what speeches can’t.
For more than a decade, Rotary clubs and districts across Canada – 175 and counting – have made that week possible. Not with a cheque and a photo, but with the kind of steady, unglamorous work Rotarians have always done best: showing up, again and again, until it adds up to something real.
John Currie,
Executive Director, HIP
“By working with Rotary, HIP has been able to build something that lasts – because Rotarians don’t just fund a program, they show up for it.”
