HIP Board of Directors, Executive Director, John Currie, Admin Julie Dunaiskis and the rest of the team wish Chris Snyder a HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY!
In 2014, Chris cofounded HIP, along with a small group of Rotarians in southern Ontario, who met to create an organization to work in partnership with Indigenous Peoples (now known as HIP). Since then much work has been done in building relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities and individuals.
Chris considers himself a “lifetime volunteer” and says “volunteering is one of the things that brings bonds and keeps humankind together”. He has served with many Rotarian and non-Rotarian charitable organizations. He has also coordinated many sweat equity teams who travel to the developing world to “make an impact”. Countries impacted are Dominican Republic, Cambodia, Malawi, Tanzania, Haiti, India just to name a few. His work has been recognized nationally, provincially and within Rotary.
For leisure, Chris loves to read, hike, bike, canoe trip and ski with his family (Pat, Jennifer, Stuart, Heather and four grandchildren).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHRIS!
