At the weekend Conference, HIP volunteers managed an information booth to create awareness about our many activities
(HIP) Honouring Indigenous Peoples was at the North Atlantic Rotary District Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia during a magical weekend (May 30-June1) filled with fellowship, innovation and insights on how to make a greater impact on our community and beyond.
“Our booth was a huge success! It got a lot of attendees talking about HIP and its importance within the Rotary and the District,” says HIP Committee Member Brendon McDonald from Halifax.
At the 7815 District conference, bookmarks and flyers containing HIP information were distributed to the many conference attendees who visited the booth throughout the weekend.
They also shared information about HIP and our activities, including the recently concluded Youth to Youth (Y2Y), which aims to foster reconciliation, environmental stewardship, and cultural understanding among Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth across Canada.
