Youth-Led. Relationship-Driven. Impact-Focused.

Walk with Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth who are leading change together—caring for the Earth while advancing Truth and Reconciliation through action, learning, and shared responsibility.

This powerful walk raises funds for HIP’s youth-to-youth programs and brings community together in shared commitment to caring for the Earth.

This movement is built on partnership. Youth work side by side across cultures and communities, guided by Indigenous knowledge, respect for the land, and a shared commitment to a healthier, more sustainable future.

This is more than a walk. It is:

  • Youth leadership in motion.
  • Reconciliation practiced, not promised.
  • Environmental stewardship rooted in relationship.

Join the youth. Walk with purpose. Help shape the future.

Mark your calendars for April 18, 2026.

What is Walk With The Earth?

Walk With The Earth is an annual, youth-led fundraising walk hosted in Rotary parks and community trails across Canada. The event is designed not just to raise money, but to bring people back to land; to learn, reflect, and walk with purpose.

Each walk is planned in partnership with HIP, local Rotary clubs, elders, and youth alumni from the Youth-2-Youth (Y2Y) program, ensuring community connection is at the heart of the day.

Where Your Support Goes

Funds raised through Walk with the Earth support HIP’s Y2Y program, uniting Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth for land-based learning and cultural exchange. Supporting one youth costs approximately $5,000, ensuring barrier-free participation and empowering young leaders to advance sustainability and reconciliation in their communities.

Why This Event Matters

We walk because youth are carrying the future of reconciliation and land stewardship. By supporting Walk with the Earth, you empower young leaders to build cross-cultural relationships, learn from the land, and lead with respect and responsibility. Investing in youth is investing in hope—for stronger communities, meaningful reconciliation, and a healthier planet.

Not in one of our host cities? Bring the Walk to your community.

Walk with the Earth is built to be shared. Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth, families, schools, and community partners are encouraged to organize their own local walks—grounded in respect for the land, youth leadership, and Truth and Reconciliation in action.

Wherever you are, the walk can begin with you.

By hosting a community walk, you join a national movement while responding to the unique stories, Nations, and environments of your own region. We provide guidance, resources, and connection to the broader network—you provide the heart, the land, and the people.
